Types of samples available
The characterization and understanding of chronic inflammatory diseases requires the analysis of samples coming from the tissue of interest, and from the sample which represents the immunity system. The Equine Respiratory Tissue Biobank facilitates the obtainment of different types of "samples" for the study of heaves and IAD, two diseases characterized by chronic inflammation of the lungs. The table below resumes the types of "samples - combination" available from the Equine Respiratory Tissue Biobank.
